Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications the Communications Specialist is a proactive highenergy role that works across all areas of the business to share stories that matter align internal culture and elevate our public profile. This role is a key part of our mission to build a connected engaged and valuesdriven organisation.

This is a broad and strategic communications role responsible for crafting highimpact content for both internal and external audiences across a variety of channels including staff comms media social media magazines PR campaigns and CEO communications.

Youll work closely with teams across aged care retirement living and home care plus our national communications partners to shape a consistent meaningful voice for St Vincents Care. Youll be trusted to deliver engaging targeted and onbrand content in a complex and rapidly changing healthcare environment.

This position offers fantastic worklife flexibility via a hybrid working arrangement 2 days in our Bowen Hills Head Office: 3 days working from home). Plus youll join a fun collaborative team that believes in having fun while getting important things done.

Things that work for us:

  • Tertiary qualification in Journalism Communications or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar communications role ideally in health aged care or notforprofit.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a natural ability to simplify complex information and tailor messages for different audiences.

  • Experience managing internal comms campaigns and executive communicationsespecially storytelling and staff engagement initiatives.

  • A creative and strategic thinker who knows how to bring campaigns to life across social media intranets email and magazines.

  • Confidence working with senior leaders shaping messaging thats clear empathetic and outcomedriven.

  • Comfortable measuring impactyou know how to report on comms performance and use insights to improve.

  • A great work ethic positive attitude and team player whos equally comfortable working independently.

  • Empathy and integrityyou understand that how we communicate is just as important as what we say.
