Job Summary: Immediate opening for a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician in Bethesda MD 2:00pm 10:30pm Tuesday Saturday). The Technician will report daily to the 2nd shift Lead and support them to provide quality workmanship in a safe efficient and professional manner. Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for the general facility maintenance needs at the facility and perform general maintenance of equipment as required. A qualified applicant is a US Citizen who possesses a valid driver s license and has at least 4 years experience in facilities maintenance. They will be able to deal with a wide range of general services. They must be professional exhibit an ownership attitude while providing excellent customer service and communicating with skill.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Abides by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations lockout/tagout etc.
Competently maintains troubleshoots and performs substantial equipment repairs. Works independently and as part of the facilities maintenance team to:
Repair Walls Floors Doors and any painting and touch up work for beautification of facility.
Repair and unclog toilets urinals replace and maintain valve assemblies and repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits as well as all other plumbing related to the facility. Responsible for operation maintenance and repair of air handling equipment at this facility such as vent fans and circulation fans.
Preforms preventative maintenance including the diagnosis of malfunctioning apparatus and/or systems such as general repairs minor plumbing carpentry and electrical needs such as light receptacles ballast and controls HVAC equipment.
Monitors the building automation computer system to ensure equipment is running and the building temperature conditions are in range.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and customer staff; assuring that all aspects of a work request are understood. This includes ensuring the customer is adequately informed about work status and expected completion dates.
May manage maintenance projects including complex equipment repair communicating effectively with Site Lead and coordinating with SubContractors of facilities services.
Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Site Manager
Qualifications:
Education
High School diploma (or equivalent) required preference given to those with some undergraduate business or trade school training.
Business Experience
4 years experience and/or training including the application of mechanical electrical plumbing carpentry skills/concepts required. An equivalent combination of training education and manufacturing maintenance experience is acceptable.
Licenses/Certifications
Valid driver s license
Language Skills
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or graphic form. Key elements include the ability to interpret safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must able to send/receive emails and be able to manage an email box. Must be able to operate the work order system and maintenance specific software such Building Automation. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees.

Able to competently operate a forklift scissor lift and aerial lift
Ability to operate a personal computer cell phone; and/or electronic tablet
Able to function with dynamic priorities adapting to changing customer expectations and completing work requests efficiently with high quality standards. This may include taking the initiative to productively manage unexpected downtime remaining productive while contributing to high quality results.
May need to support noncustomary schedules and weekend work
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
