Job Description
Be part of our client s team as a DevOps Engineer leading efforts to harden cloud infrastructure and implement key security remediations on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role includes handson work across infrastructure projects and may involve provisioning a new Kubernetes cluster in the US region to support global system expansion.
Job Overview
Shift: Monday to Friday (Flexible Hours)
Work setup: Work From Home
- Triaging and implementing remediations based on recent GCP security audit findings
- Aligning with engineering and security teams on best practices and secure configurations
- Planning and provisioning a new GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) cluster in a US region including networking IAM and workload setup
- Improving monitoring logging and alerting systems using Datadog
- Collaborating with developers to maintain secure efficient deployment workflows across Haskell Python and services
- Supporting PostgreSQL infrastructure tasks as needed
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- Proven experience with GCP particularly IAM VPC GKE and CloudSQL
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes setup maintenance and secure deployment pipelines
- Extensive experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform Kustomize)
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions Buildkite)
- Handson experience applying cloud infrastructure security best practices and remediations
- Familiarity with Datadog for observability and alerting
- Experience managing PostgreSQL in a cloud environment
- Comfort working within polyglot stacks especially Haskell Python and
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience supporting compliance initiatives such as SOC2 or ISO27001
