Payroll Associate
Job Function Summary
We are in search of a Payroll Associate that will work in a team environment that supports the production of Americas payroll for over 2000 employees in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. The Payroll Associate will report to the Americas Payroll Manager and working within the payroll team will process bimonthly US and Puerto Rico payrolls in Workday and will work with our thirdparty vendor to process Canada payroll. The Payroll Associate will work closely with teams across HR Benefits Compensation as well as partners in Finance and Legal in the production of payroll and support special projects and partner department requests.
Responsibilities:
- Process bimonthly US and Puerto Rico payroll in Workday. Coordinate with HR Benefits and Compensation in the collection and transmittal of key data to produce payroll. Prepare and load data into Workday (EIBs) as needed. Prepare audit reports and reconciliations to support the validation and finalization of payroll.
- Work with our thirdparty vendor in the production of bimonthly Canada payroll. Prepare vendor data input forms (Flexiforms) validate gross to net reports prepare audits and reconciliations to support the validation and finalization of payroll.
- Run and monitor integrations to/from third parties and reconcile to ensure accurate and timely transmission of data 401K Flexible Spending GL etc.; Run and monitor time and attendance process following up with employees as needed.
- Process off cycle termination and final payments as needed in compliance with state regulations.
- Support new hire onboarding payroll tasks including auditing employee state/local setup and answering employee inquiries.
- Respond to employee inquiries for payroll related issues.
- Participate in various adhoc and routine projects and requests as needed.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or another businessrelated field
- Strong functional Payroll knowledge with 5 years processing multistate payroll in a complex business environment
- Experience using Workday Payroll
- Technical knowledge of state and federal tax regulations
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills ability to interpret payroll data and share results in a meaningful manner
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills to answer employee inquiries at all levels and liaise with our tax team and external accounting consultants
- Flexible and able to prioritize in a fast moving high pressure constantly changing environment; high sense of urgency and attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality
Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary discretionary performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $70000 to $160000 which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer we take into consideration an individuals experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
