Job Description

A wellestablished independent nursery school in Merton is seeking a Nursery Teacher to join their team on a parttime fixedterm basis. The role is available for an immediate start and will run until the end of the academic year with the possibility of extending the contract.

Position Overview

  • Role: Nursery Teacher
  • Location: Merton
  • Contract: PartTime FixedTerm
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging learning activities that support the developmental needs of children aged 35 years.
  • Create a safe stimulating and welcoming environment that encourages exploration play and social development.
  • Regularly assess childrens progress and development adjusting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to ensure each childs development is fully supported and nurtured.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver an inclusive and holistic approach to learning and wellbeing.
  • Ensure the nursery always meets safeguarding and health and safety standards.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Early Years education.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is essential.
  • A strong understanding of child development and the ability to tailor teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both children and parents.
  • A nurturing creative approach to teaching with a passion for working with young children.
