Job Description
ROLE
We need an experienced Data Analytics Lead at the Surface Ship Maintenance and Modernization Directorate (SEA 21. SEA 21 is the Navys center of excellence for managing the lifecycle of its surface fleet. Responsible for the planning coordination and of maintenance modernization and inactivation activities SEA 21 ensures that surface ships are effectively supported from introduction to retirement. The directorate integrates logistics programmatic oversight training and technical solutions to help extend ship life enhance efficiency and align fleet capabilities with evolving requirements. In this role you will guide the collection analysis and visualization of data from enterprise systems to inform decisionmaking track performance and support SEA 21s mission . RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business financial or performance data for review by managers and other stakeholders.
- Analyze business intelligence and data to support recommendations for action and updates to processes and procedures.
- Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in financial program and risk management.
- Develop methods of assessing and measuring program performance in terms of the organizations mission and fiscal and program targets.
- Document findings and prepare recommendations for implementing new systems procedures or organizational changes.
- Compile reports charts graphs and online content that describe and interpret findings of analyses.
- Maintain or update organizational business intelligence tools dashboards systems or methods.
- Collaborate with management and users to develop content and integrate program strategies with websites and virtual tools.
- Research and apply innovative solutions for product design visuals and user experience to meet the needs of digital projects.
- Provide technical support for existing reports dashboards or other tools.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of professional experience related to data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience training other data analytics contractors to ensure their competency.
- Supervisory skills to oversee other data analytics contractors to ensure their satisfactory support.
- Bachelors degree in math science engineering or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in math science engineering or related field
LOCATION
- Washington DC 20376
- Primarily remote. May require onsite visits for urgent/emergent requirements or inperson meetings.
CLEARANCE
- U.S. citizenship is required since this role supports the U.S. Federal government
- Secret Security Clearance Required
