Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to secondary school students and assisting with the delivery of the school curriculum. This is a fulltime position and requires someone who is comfortable working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group support to students with SEN
- Assist with the implementation of the school curriculum
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with their educational and personal development
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for all students
Qualifications:
- Experience working with secondary school students
- Comfortable supporting the secondary school curriculum
- Understanding of and experience working with students with special educational needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students
- Relevant qualifications in education or related field is advantageous
Daytoday:
- Provide oneonone support to students with SEN
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities as directed by teaching staff
- Support students with their individual learning objectives
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Communicate effectively with students teaching staff and parents/guardians
