Job Description: Trading Operations Analyst
Position Overview:
We are partnering with a Global Trading Firm to hire a Trading Operations Analyst with 25 years of experience in trading operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in SQL and Python along with a keen interest in financial markets. You will work closely with the trading teams to ensure smooth operations data analysis and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support daily trading operations including trade settlement and reconciliation.
Utilize SQL to extract and analyze trading data generating reports to identify trends and anomalies.
Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate operational processes and enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with trading and risk management teams to resolve operational issues and improve workflows.
Assist in the preparation of operational reports and performance metrics for management.
Maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures.
Contribute to special projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing trading operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Computer Science or a related field.
24 years of experience in trading operations or a similar role.
Proficiency in SQL for database querying and data manipulation.
Strong programming skills in Python with experience in data analysis and automation.
Familiarity with trading platforms and financial instruments is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
