Jaguar Land Rover Roadside Technician
Position Overview:
A highly skilled certified and experienced Jaguar Land Rover Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining vehicles for a luxury import automotive dealer. The role requires precision expertise and a dedication to delivering highquality onsite services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and technical expertise in providing onsite assistance repairs and towing services to ensure our clients experience seamless highquality support during vehicle breakdowns or roadside emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to roadside assistance calls promptly delivering courteous and efficient service including minor repairs battery replacements tire changes and fuel refills.
- Required to follow all safety protocols to ensure personal and client safety during roadside assistance including the use of reflective gear safety cones and emergency lights.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments onsite when possible ensuring customer safety and minimizing the need for towing.
- Provide detailed service reports and documentation of repair work including parts used and labor hours.
- Safely prepare vehicles for towing when repairs cannot be completed onsite following Jaguar Land Rover safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with the service team and advisors to ensure customer expectations are met. Maintain clear and professional communication with clients explaining repairs and providing timely updates.
- Stay up to date with the latest automotive technologies and participate in ongoing training and certification programs with brand manufacturer and ASE trainings.
- Maintain tools roadside assistance vehicle and safety equipment in good working condition adhering to dealership safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Ensure repairs are completed within the allocated time and in accordance with dealership quality standards. Adhere to dealership and manufacturer safety guidelines environmental practices and state and federal regulations.
- Work in a teamoriented environment focused on productivity safety and reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; automotive training and/or vocational degree preferred.
- Current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent manufacturer certification for luxury import vehicles.
- Minimum of 12 years of handson experience as a Roadside Automotive Technician preferably with luxury import brands and dealership.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and computerized systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of automotive repair processes.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and service manuals.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Adhere to Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles laws and company policies on driving company and customer vehicles.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including lying standing bending and handling various tools for extended periods.
- Must have full dexterity and mobility to complete assigned tasks.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime when necessary.
Working Conditions:
- Fulltime may include evening weekend or holiday shifts to accommodate 24/7 roadside assistance coverage with oncall rotations required to meet customer needs.
- Roadside Assistance Technicians primarily work outdoors exposed to varying weather conditions including rain heat and cold. The position requires readiness to respond to roadside calls day or night.
- A fully equipped service vehicle will be provided for roadside work with regular maintenance and inspection required. Technicians must drive safely and maintain a clean driving record.
