Job Title: Senior API Developer
Job Summary:
As a Senior API Developer you will design and implement secure scalable APIs and lead the adoption of API standards and best practices across teams. Youll mentor developers guide API governance and ensure solutions meet security and performance benchmarks.
Minimum Degree Required (BQ):
Bachelors Degree
Degree Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in IT or a related field

Information Technology Computer Science
Minimum Year(s) of Experience (BQ):
Minimum of 4 years in API development

Certified API Designer (optional)
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of enterprise APIs
Implement API security with OAuth JWT and threat prevention
Manage API gateways and ensure governance
Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards
Ensure performance versioning and lifecycle management of APIs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
All core skills of API Developer
Experience with OAuth JWT and API security mechanisms
Knowledge of API gateways and usage policies
Threat prevention strategies (e.g. SQL injection XSS)
Strong collaboration and mentorship experience
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Experience with API versioning and governance
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Docker Kubernetes
Background in microservices and distributed architecture
