About the Role
Essity North America Health and Medical Solutions is currently seeking an Operations Manager who will provide leadership and direction in the manufacturing of foam for our advanced wound care products while optimizing continuous production processes to achieve the output quality and cost goals of the organization. The ideal candidate should live in the Newark Delaware area or is willing to commute.

What you will do
- Manage the daytoday operations at the Newark facility.
- Facilitate the application of Global Manufacturing Excellence principles and tools (work instructions and procedures for safety quality CIL maintenance etc..
- Work closely with Quality / Regulatory to ensure the facility documentation products and projects meet all quality and regulatory expectations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing efficiencies personnel health and safety environmental goals and gross profit margins at the Newark facility.
- Champion safety and quality while fostering Essitys ICare culture of accountability care and pride.
- Monitor production metrics to respond to and resolves issues at the source.
- Manage maintenance turnarounds and downtime for efficiency and speed.
- Ensure safety of equipment and facilities and manage lockout / tagout system.
- Oversee contractors and vendors completing work on properties ensuring accuracy to specifications.
- Support ongoing development of operators by providing clear performance expectations specific feedback on behaviors and effective coaching and mentorship.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Who you are
- 7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years of relevant experience with high school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical device and chemical processing experience preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a supervising an hourly workforce.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as ISO 9001 AS9100 ISO 13485 preferred.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask.
- Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
