Treasury Operations Specialist

Were seeking a Treasury Operations Specialist to join our Treasury Team in Austin. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to Wises mission within the Finance and Treasury Tribe impacting millions of people by optimizing operational processes on a global scale.

Treasury is responsible for efficiently moving the right amount in the right currency at the right time to serve our customers all while minimizing costs. To excel in this role you should be passionate about process automation dedicated to enhancing efficiency and ready to tackle challenges headon. As an ideal candidate youll have a sharp mind for synthesizing crucial information to make informed decisions in timecritical situations. Additionally youll demonstrate a holistic perspective to shape future plans for the team.

Your mission: 

Wise has been at the forefront of revolutionizing international money transfers and currency management. Youll play a crucial role by:

• Managing cash movements planning and executing FX trades to ensure timely delivery of customers funds.

• Overseeing hedging strategies monitoring the market and managing exposure risks to maintain competitive pricing.

• Taking ownership of team and company processes fostering relationships as a key point of contact with external partners and internal stakeholders.

• Innovating and improving global money movement processes to achieve closer to instant and free transfers.

• Collaborate with payment operations specialists engineers analysts and product managers to drive product and process improvements.

This role offers you the opportunity to:

• Possess excellent written and verbal English skills.

• Be an accurate organized individual with an eye for detail taking ownership of work and leading projects when required.

• Demonstrate clear and honest communication skills adaptability to different audiences and comfort in resolving issues with global external partners and internal stakeholders.

• Be comfortable with feedback value openness and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• Quickly connect the dots in new situations think creatively for solutions and multitask efficiently in timecritical scenarios.

• Be flexible with work hours to accommodate shifts and occasionally working weekends and holidays.

• Exhibit selfmotivation initiative in learning and the ability to make independent decisions in timesensitive situations.

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

• Academic or work experience in Finance/accounting/banking/trading is advantageous

• 1 3 years of experience in a responsible operational specialist role demonstrating trust in executing operational processes and problemsolving skills.

• Proficiency in using data to prioritize tasks and support claims..
