Student Advisor

We are seeking individuals who can become trusted Student Advisors dedicated to assisting OUA students in making informed decisions about their future. As a part of a crossfunctional team consisting of approximately 10 Advisors you will play a vital role. Each team brings together a mix of skills including inbound outbound and messaging/chat expertise. Your journey begins with building your product knowledge through outbound sales guided by our Capability Coaches.

In this role youll handle a wide range of scenarios from enrolments and sales to customer service and support. While each Advisor may have their own specialisation we encourage collaboration and flexibility based on the demand and priorities of our work.

Our team operates cohesively commencing and concluding each shift together. We envision the future of work as a hybrid model with the flexibility of being in our Melbourne office two days a week complemented by the advantages of remote work.

We are committed to training and upskilling our Student Advisors offering distinct career pathways including roles as experienced advisors coaches and Team Leaders. Additionally we provide subsidies for university studies and many of our Advisors have advanced into various roles within OUA such as marketing data science business analysis and software development.

Heres a glimpse into your daytoday

• Acting as the initial point of contact (via phone email and web chat) for prospective students guiding them towards the best education solutions to meet their needs.
• Promoting and aiding students with their enrolment and degree inquiries across a broad spectrum of educational options.
• Continuously supporting and nurturing students throughout their educational journey.
• Actively contributing to your teams success by providing and receiving feedback assisting in coaching and support and participating in process improvement initiatives.
• Being part of a team dedicated to making meaningful contributions to team goals in alignment with our company values.

Weekend hours of operation

Due to growing student demand on weekends were broadening our teams availability to include more coverage during these days. We provide the option for you to transition from a weekday shift to a permanent Saturday or Sunday shift ensuring a full working week of 37.5 hours. All weekend schedules are designed with worklife balance in mind and are set up for remote work from home.

Our hybrid work model involves spending two days per week in the office maximising opportunities for inperson collaboration ongoing learning and attending company events.

• You are available to work on a rotating roster between Monday to Saturday (occasionally Sunday at the end of each study period).
• Youre comfortable reaching out to prospects you dont know and helping them make informed purchase/sales decisions.
• You grasp and can articulate the benefits of a university education.
• You possess exceptional communication skills both over the phone and in written messages.
• You deliver an exceptional student experience through active listening empathy and a commitment to problemsolving.
• You are proficient in computer skills particularly in typing.
• You are adaptable and eager to learn and grow.
