Job Description
Looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a transforming industry
We are seeking a Machine operator to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work crossfunctionally. This position will perform various machining finishing and mechanical assembly with both metal and plastic subcomponents.
In this role:
- Set up and run speed lathe horizontal lathe drill press punch press and/or hydraulic press in order to fabricate and modify metal and plastic subcomponents.
- Buff grind and/or sand subcomponents to meet surface finish requirements.
- Inspect and measure parts using profilometers calipers and micrometers to ensure components meet specifications and are within tolerance.
- Ensure cleanliness of machined parts.
- Silkscreen spray paint and electropolish subcomponents.
- Assemble mechanical components.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
On your first day well expect that youll have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of general machining experience including setting up and running lathes saws presses grinder and sanders is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of spray painting and/or electropolishing experience is preferred.
- 2 years manual lathe & mill set up and operation experience preferred. Ability to setup and operate measuring equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to use profilometer calipers and micrometers and to read blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction prioritize and schedule work.
- Mechanical inclination and aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
