I. Job SummaryThe Assistant Manager oversees a team responsible for the design implementation and maintenance including day to day support of the reporting and analytics team. This role is responsible for reactive and proactive reporting/dashboarding data science efforts including analytics. Provides strategic and tactical consultation and input on design options and data and reporting governance.
To be successful in this role individual must be able to enable and acquire data information assess key metrics insights and learnings and translate into consumable forms. The right person will join and help establish a process and regular cadence of reporting across organization.
Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.- Partner with US teams and manage develop and integrate data analytics assets / solutions to support the mission vision strategies objectives and goals of WM
- Utilize technology and analytic tools for development and maintain a portfolio of models to support those insights.
- Builds solid relationships with all internal partners that impact reporting and analytics (i.e. People; Digital; Legal; Finance; Operations etc.
- Present output of efforts often in a highly visual way to facilitate datadriven decisions and action plan
- Assist with data and reporting governance processes and standardization required for of analytics from data gathering to output
- Develops and leads a team of Business Analysts Report Developers Data Analysts and Data Scientists to deliver on business requirements and objectives
- Provides expert level consulting to identify and support business reporting and analytics requirements
- Work closely with business owners and subject matter experts to develop new analytics reports and dashboards
- Responsible for driving all data analytics including performance and reporting mapping and supporting teams with analytics assessments of user experience and optimization opportunities
- Manage analytic and reports project prioritization based on business needs. Maintain and prioritize a list of enhancements requested for all measurement technology
- Leverage data to assist in defining group enhancement requirements and be able to present a compelling business case for securing those investments
- Work with stakeholders to continue adding to and refining reporting suite
- Strong knowledge of endtoend data lifecycles across relational databases (eg : Snowflake) business intelligence reporting (eg : Power BI) and data analytics
- Project skills with a proven track record of developing and implementing critical initiatives to drive growth
- Report status progress including any changes made to project plans and production support.
- Review all work produced by the development teams to meet WM standards
- Provides weekly status reporting risk & issue log and updates. Appropriately escalates issues that may put projects deliverables timelines or daytoday support at risk
- Drives the team to meet project plan deliverables and timelines with a focus on standardization simplification and alignment of business processes across the enterprise
- Conducts performance appraisal and other performance discussions with individual employees. Work with the team to prepare individual developmenttraining plan. Building a successful team and effective working relationships is a priority.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides formal supervision to direct reports.
- Recommends staff recruitment selection promotion advancement corrective action and termination.
- Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor including overtime.
- Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
- Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the companys values.
IV. QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and ExperienceEducation: Bachelors degree (accredited) in business computer science statistics or related discipline or in lieu of degree High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience: Ten years of related experience (in addition to education requirement)

- Experience managing mentoring and developing talent and leading reporting and analytics functions
- ERP systems experience with Oracle based products is a plus. Strong Microsoft product experience (Access Excel SharePoint PowerPoint)
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as SQL Power BI Python SAS etc. Strong quantitative and analytical skills
