We are seeking an experienced Production Technician III to support manufacturing operations at our clients Decatur Illinois facility. This role is responsible for the setup operation and maintenance of production filling lines and supporting equipment as well as assembling and testing products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up operate troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on solution filling lines vial cappers and tray loading lines.
- Conduct inprocess quality checks including fill weight measurements oxygeninheadspace analysis and bottle torque checks.
- Perform sterile solution filtration setups and operations.
- Unload sterilized equipment and depyrogenated glassware from autoclaves and ovens.
- Operate autoclaves for equipment sterilization and terminal sterilization of product.
- Operate vial and ampoule washers in conjunction with dry heat ovens for aseptic component preparation.
- Clean prepare and maintain filling equipment for various operations.
- Complete batch record documentation and review applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documentation.
- Maintain a clean sterile and organized manufacturing environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in preFAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) for new production equipment which may require occasional travel.
- Support equipment validation processes.
- Serve as acting supervisor during supervisor absence or during secondshift operations.
- Assist in training new team members.
Requirements
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two 2 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience or equivalent education and training.
- Advanced mechanical training highly preferred.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to maintain excellent attendance and work a standard 40hour week with flexibility for overtime as needed.
Certification to work in cleanroom environments (aseptic filling) will be required.
Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment setup and maintenance.
Effective teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with peers and leadership.
High standards for personal hygiene and professionalism critical for cleanroom work.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform under time constraints.
Physical & Mental Demands:
Frequent sitting standing walking talking hearing and fine motor skills usage.
Regular lifting of up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting of baskets weighing 10 20 lbs; pushing carts weighinglbs.
Ability to work in varying conditions (wet humid dry cool).
Exposure to hot surfaces steam and dry heat environments up to 265 C (protective equipment provided).
Strong reasoning communication and confidentiality skills required.
Ability to follow complex instructions and meet production deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Work Environment:
Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Handling substances that may be caustic carcinogenic or flammable (proper PPE and MSDS provided).
Working near open flames during ampoule sealing processes.
Regular exposure to sterilization processes involving steam and dry heat.
