Purpose of Position: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer III to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing web-based software applications that support a variety of projects at Design Interactive (DI). The ideal candidate will be a computer science professional proficient in working with various technology stacks to deliver both local and cloud-based solutions for our user community.
Primary Responsibilities: - Perform analysis programming testing debugging and modifications of computer programs for complex software products.
- Aid in software development feature specification and design.
- Work in an agile environment with other professionals to rapidly iterate on product features and designs.
- Provide detailed reusable product documentation.
- Offer responsive accurate and friendly technical support to internal and external clients.
- Participate in project meetings to contribute technical expertise and collaborate on project goals.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and logically.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt and work effectively in various configurations including independently as part of a team and in a matrix reporting environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate personal initiative.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor to less experienced engineers providing guidance on architecture coding standards problem-solving and career development.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to maintain service availability and performance.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements: - Experience developing and deploying cloud-based services such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience designing and implementing Azure table storage Azure functions and knowledge of how to run batch jobs and be able to utilize cloud-based microservices or equivalent.
- Implement and champion microservices architecture principles ensuring services are independently deployable maintainable and scalable
- Proficiency in .NET and Typescript.
- Experience with Docker including Docker images and continuous integration.
- Expertise in databases and SQL queries including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Intermediate to advanced Java or C# development skills.
- Proficient in HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and Angular v5/6.
- Strong command of modern software development practices including version control (Git) continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and release management strategies for various environments (dev staging production).
Education: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.
Travel:
Position requires a minimum amount of local overnight and extended travel.

Physical requirements involve performing general office activities.
