Job Description
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify process improvements.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor production metrics and identify trends for further improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing issues and lead corrective actions.
- Support quality assurance initiatives to ensure product meets and exceeds industry standards.
- Oversee equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to streamline material flow.
- Lead projects to introduce new technologies and equipment into the manufacturing process.
- Prepare reports and presentations on process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control for manufacturing operations.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance within manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 35 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes materials and quality control techniques.
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for manufacturing data management.
- Experience in a regulated industry is a plus (such as medical device aerospace etc..
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site audits or training.
- Continuous learning mindset with a focus on professional development.
