EYParthenon Strategy and Transaction Strategy and Health Director

The EYParthenon subservice line comprises four competencies: Strategy Realized; Transaction Strategy and ; Private Equity and Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy. EYParthenon Transaction Strategy and has a marketleading proposition to create and maximize value for our clients whether they are acquiring assets divesting assets creating partnerships or undertaking operational restructuring.

The opportunity

Transaction Strategy and works on the most complex and highprofile national and global transactions across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in operations who are serial transaction advisers which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team we prepare and execute separation and integration plans identify ideas and sources of value enhancement as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations functions and people.

Your key responsibilities

As a Director in Transaction Strategy and Health you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing projects focused on transaction strategy transaction and partnership development all occurring within the Health sector. This includes work with health systems payer organizations health care services organizations large companies with specific needs in health care healthfocused government entities and other organizations with needs specific to the strategy or of organic and inorganic health care programs. Your role will also involve developing experience across the M&A lifecycle including presign signtoclose and postclosing. Having a commercial mindset is key to this consultingbased role. We value both experiences across the merger lifecycle and within the health care industry with a candidate having a strong desire to help healthcare clients on a range of challenging and greenfield engagements: partnership strategy and selection board facilitation Day 1/Day 100 planning postmerger integration synergies and carveouts / activations. Individuals with an interest in joining the Transaction Strategy and Health practice ideally have years of consulting experience an ability to facilitate difficult conversations with junior and senior executives and Boards and deep knowledge regarding transactions involving clients who have a current health care capability or are looking to grow partner or acquire one.

  • Project Management be part of project teams comprising colleagues from across the Strategy & Transactions sub service lines.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelors degree in Business Accounting Finance or Healthcare related field and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • MBA or MHA graduate degrees are preferred.
  • Significant management consulting experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the health care industry most specifically in one or more of the following sectors: health care providers health plans/risk sharing and/or ancillary/service health businesses.
  • Experience related to mergers and/or acquisitions transactions with specific Health sector M&A experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Experience in business integrations divestitures and/or carveouts with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • The ability to make detailed assessments of technology operations or manufacturing infrastructure.
  • The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
  • The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to develop longlasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 80 on short notice.

Ideally youll also have

  • A proven record of excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Established knowledge and skills in the Health industry.
  • Reputation as a leader and highfunctioning networker.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $205000 to $235000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. In addition our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage pension and 401(k) plans and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our teamled and leaderenabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external client serving roles to work together in person 4060 of the time over the course of an engagement project or year.
