Job Description

Position Summary
Read and interpret customer blueprints specifications and CATIA models to write manufacturing plans for detail parts subassemblies and assemblies. Support manufacturing to ensure an engineering compliant part is produced. Calculate the cost of processing components by analyzing technical specifications and material requirements to create detailed cost estimates for proposals and bids

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings 3D models specifications and all other customer defining documentation of new and existing product. Must be able to effectively communicate the requirements in a standard format to production and quality

  • Review Customer Engineering to ensure dataset packages are complete
  • Review Customer Engineering revision levels to ensure proper part configuration is being produced
  • Develops masking aids (work instructions) and templates for production
  • Supports internal groups customers and vendors on a daily basis for all engineering/product definition relatedneeds that arise. Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with these groups
  • Coordinates activities with technical team members to make corrections or improvements to planning masking orprocesses
  • Use analytical reasoning and problemsolving skills to identify the most efficient processes and alternativesolutions to problems
  • Use knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques formaximizing the effective manufacture of products
  • Report to work on time follow instructions interact well with coworkers understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as necessary
  • Other various duties as needed or as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Associates/bachelors degree in manufacturing Industrial or Technology Engineering OR equivalent Aerospace Manufacturing work experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products

Computer:

  • CATIA V5 Basic working knowledge
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications (MS Excel MS Word MS Power Point)

Communication:

  • Strong technical writing skills Must effectively communicate customer requirements in written form in a clear and concise manor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Interpersonal Skills Personality and Professional Conduct:

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Exhibits dependability: Follow instructions; responds to leadership direction; and accountability for own actions

Physical and Environmental Demands
Manufacturing environment may be exposed to noise levels dust fumes and heat. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses)
