Provide technical support to staff students and administrators by installing maintaining and troubleshooting hardware software and network systems. Ensure efficient use of technology resources across district campuses and departments.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED required
Associates or bachelors degree in a technologyrelated field preferred
Valid Texas drivers license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficiency with Windows ChromeOS macOS and mobile devices
Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft Office
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple technical requests
Knowledge of basic networking and device imaging preferred
Experience:
Minimum 12 years of experience in IT support preferably in a K12 school environment
Respond to technology support requests in a timely and professional manner
Install and configure computers printers projectors document cameras and other peripheral devices
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware software and network connectivity issues
Support users with device login printing file access and software applications
Document and track service requests using districts ticketing system
Perform routine maintenance and updates on devices and systems
Assist with device imaging and software deployment
Monitor and report inventory of district technology assets
Help maintain accurate records of equipment assignments and repairs
Communicate with staff and students using clear respectful and solutionfocused language
Provide basic training or guidance to users as needed
Escalate unresolved issues to higherlevel support or vendors as appropriate
Work with district and campus staff to support instructional and operational technology needs
Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information per FERPA and district policy
Follow district safety procedures and protocols related to job duties
