Health & Group Benefits Consultants are an integral part of the overall client management and client relationship function in Millimans Employee Benefits Consulting practice. The successful candidate will have at least eight years of Health & Welfare actuarial and consulting experience with a strong working knowledge of benefits design delivery financing and strategy. This fulltime hybrid position will be part of a team supporting the delivery of consulting projects as well as maintaining existing and growing new client relationships. This position will include support of the employer health and group benefits market.

What You Will Do
- Support health & group benefit Consulting Actuaries and manage large complex client projects and relationships for select Health & Group Benefits clients.
- Provide actuarial and consulting support to clients including plan design financial analysis and projections benefit strategy and vendor selection and management.
- Oversee mentor and train actuarial analysts to support the delivery of work
- Manage the marketing and vendor search process for all lines of coverage including (but not limited to) medical PBM dental life/AD&D disability vision and reinsurance coverage.
- Leverage expertise and experience to build and strengthen relationships representing the Practice with key customers prospects providers and other market stakeholders.
- Follow established Milliman protocol for tracking activity project results and compliance with peer review standards.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with appropriate consultants within the Milliman group of practices.
What We Are Looking For
- At least eight years of Health & Welfare actuarial and consulting experience.
- Health and life insurance license preferred.
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum Designation: ASA MAAA
- Demonstrated success supporting Health & Welfare actuarial and consulting services.
- Understanding of the marketing / vendor search process and the ability to manage the total process.
- Thorough understanding of selfinsurance and stoploss coverage concepts.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize and organize multiple complex projects and oversee the staff delivering them
- Ability to train and develop actuarial staff and ensure they are fully engaged and supporting the practice
- Strong skills as a problem solver including taking initiatives to complete necessary research and document the process used to reach conclusions.
- Able to work with timesensitive material and meet multiple deadlines.
- Able to work independently while also contributing to team environment.

The Team
The EB Consulting practice provides actuarial and consulting services for multiple industries for actives and retirees and for Corporate Public and Multiemployer Plans. This practice works with several key types of clients organized into the following lines of business:
- Pension Plans
- Other Postretirement Benefit Plans
- Health and Group Benefits
Location
Candidates hired for this role must be willing to work inperson at one of our listed Milliman offices on a weekly basis. However flexible work arrangements will be considered for our hybrid environment.
Compensation
The salary range is $92200 $212640 depending on a combination of factors including but not limited to education relevant work experience qualifications skills certifications location etc. If overall experience is less than 10 years the range would be $92200 $188160; for experience of greater than 10 years the range would be $104200 $212640.
