Position Overview
As part of the talented Continuous Improvement team you will be responsible for performing Lean initiatives within your assigned function under the guidance of the Lean Supervisor. You lead problem solving and improvement initiatives to increase productivity and eliminate waste.

Utilizes a structured approach to problem solving using Lean 6 Sigma Tools. Ability to appropriately apply LSS Tools i.e. Standardized Work Job Instructions Work Balance Chart Time / Motion Observations. etc.
Works with Group Leader to ensure that quality criteria is followed and quality checks are completed appropriately using standardized work job instruction (JI) and quality criteria.
Conducts hour x hour standardized work and problemsolving documentation.
Uses job instruction (JI) training method where applicable. Supports training initiatives of team members in standardized work through job instruction (JI).
Able to perform all jobs in area and adjacent areas within Takt Time and to Standardized Work.
Actively engages and encourages involvement of team members in improvement initiatives.
Encourages safe behavior and 5s housekeeping activities.
Performs problem identification and kaizen activities.

Required Qualifications:
Ability to fluently speak read understand and write English
High school diploma or GED ; some college preferred
Knowledge of and ability to convert Yellow / Green Card Process to executable Lean events.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Demonstrated ability to teach others build effective relationships flexibility and ability to implement and manage change effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to challenge team members/peers appropriately to follow standards.
Ability to practice and document Lean Kaizen events.
Maintains daily communication and cooperation with Supervisors Group Leaders team members and all other Lean Facilitators.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successfully complete Green Belt Training Program or equivalent development.
Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel Word)
Demonstrated initiative to lead others for improved performance and consistently demonstrated job performance that exceeds expectations.
Exhibits a willingness to help others eagerness to learn and uses a Servant Leadership style.
Facilitates quick response to problems.
Ensures measurable improvement to goals.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as which may include respirators gloves chemical resistance aprons and chemical resistant suits.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Anything over 50 lbs requires a team lift effort.
Ability to work in a nonclimatecontrolled environment. The work location may be 60F to above 100F ambient in areas of production.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping and handling of materials.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $19.50 to $27.00 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including jobrelated knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location.
At Brunswick it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
