Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Lean Manufacturing Specialist to lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across our production operations. This role is critical in driving lead time reduction optimizing value streams and embedding a culture of problem solving initiative building and 5S workplace organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive change agent with a strong foundation in Lean principles and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Time Reduction:
    Analyse production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to reduce cycle times and improve throughput.

  • Value Stream Mapping:
    Facilitate cross-functional teams in mapping current and future state value streams to eliminate waste and enhance flow.

  • Problem Solving:
    Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. A3 5 Whys Root Cause Analysis) to resolve operational issues and prevent recurrence.

  • Initiative Building:
    Champion and coach continuous improvement initiatives engaging employees at all levels to foster a Lean culture.

  • 5S Implementation:
    Lead 5S audits and training to ensure a clean organised and safe work environment that supports productivity and quality.

  • Training & Coaching:
    Deliver Lean training sessions and mentor team members to build internal capabilities and sustain improvements.

  • Performance Metrics:
    Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives including lead time waste reduction and productivity gains.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Management or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement role.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies (Kaizen Kanban SMED etc.).
  • Proven experience with value stream mapping and 5S implementation.
  • Excellent analytical facilitation and communication skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
