Through efficient and environmentally sustainable operation we offer grounds custodial building operations facilities planning security services and engineering professional services to provide a physical environment that supports and enhances our academic space for students and staff. Our team of professionals are dedicated to providing customer service excellence. Our staff respond to daily service requests and emergency/ priority situations as needed.
Reporting to the Supervisor Central Plant the Power Engineer performs work essential to the ongoing repair operation and maintenance of the Universitys base building HVAC systems. Work is performed under minimal supervision.
This position is a part of the MRSA Collective Bargaining Unit. The normal shift is 7.5 hours per day five days per week. It is a requirement for Power Engineers to be scheduled in the oncall rotation on afternoon shifts weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) stat holidays and and other scheduled rotations as required to ensure ABSA inspection rounds are conducted daily 7 days/week. Overtime may be required and callouts to the campus can be expected during emergencies.
The Power Engineer functions within ABSA codes OHSA and other applicable legislation regulations policies guidelines and standards.
Other related duties as assigned.
Salary: $60571..00 per annum
