We are seeking a Process Engineer with strong expertise in power generation plants to join a newly established Track and Services Division focused on developing advanced engineering solutions for the steel industry with a strong emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency.

The selected professional will play a key role in the design development and implementation of FEED and EPC phase projects contributing technical expertise in energy processes hydraulic calculations and multidisciplinary coordination.

Location:

Madrid Spain

Work Modality:

Hybrid work model: two days of remote work per week. Flexible working hours and intensive workday schedule during the summer months.

Responsibilities:

Development and supervision of hydraulic calculations and mass and energy balances preferably using ThermoFlow.

Preparation of utility summaries.

Preparation of P&IDs and line lists.

Specification and design of equipment and instrumentation.

Sizing and selection of control valves.

Hydraulic surge analysis using AFT Impulse or equivalent software.

Drafting of control narratives and cause & effect matrices (C&E).

Line designation according to the KKS coding system.

Drafting of technical reports and engineering documentation.

Coordination and technical support to other project disciplines.

Requirements:

University degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

10 to 15 years of experience in FEED and EPC projects related to power generation plants (combined cycle gas or coal-fired boilers).

Strong technical command of:

  • ThermoFlow (preferred).
  • AFT Impulse or similar tools for hydraulic transient analysis.
  • Hydraulic energy and process equipment calculations.

Sound knowledge of international standards applicable to energy plant design (ASME API ISO etc.).

Minimum English level: B2 (mandatory). A technical English test will be conducted and interviews will be held in English.
