Job Description

THE SEARCH

Public Charter Schools of New Mexico (PCSNM) is seeking a CSP Grant Manager to play a key role on the PCSNM team to expand the organizations ability to successfully implement New Mexicos Charter School Program.

ABOUT US PCSNM is building momentum creating a new narrative around public charter schools in our state and becoming a respected leader in the larger conversation around public k12 education policy in New Mexico. This work and momentum are being recognized nationally.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate for the position of Grant Manager for PCSNMs CSP grant should be a seasoned professional with grant management experience in grant management within the educational sector. This individual should be highly organized and detailoriented ensuring that subgrants are following federal guidelines. Excellent communication teamwork and project management skills are essential as the Grant Manager will collaborate with the Deputy Director and Fiscal Coordinator as well as with various stakeholders including contractors educational institutions and program partners. Moreover the candidate should have a strategic mindset capable of aligning grant objectives with the CSP programs mission and goals. Their ability to navigate the complexities of grant applications compliance and reporting is paramount to the programs success. ROLE This is a fulltime position that reports directly to the Deputy Director. PCSNM is a hybrid work environment and the CSP Grant Manager must be able to report for workdays in our Albuquerque officeat least 2 days a week. The position includes flexible scheduling generous time off and a competitive benefits package including health insurance and a matching 401K program. Salary will be determined commensurate with qualifications and experience. The hiring for this position is a base salary of $.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the daytoday point person for all things related to the New Mexico CSP project.

Develop and maintain relationships and communication with subgrantees and applicants

Create and update subgrantee CSP application and determine eligibility

Maintain the CSP website including subgrant application materials archived trainings subgrantee videos exemplar tools monitoring findings and Corrective Action Plans.

Develop and manage internal policies and subgrantee policies for processes and allowable actions.

Manage all elements of the CSP application cycle including preapplication webinars technical assistance peer review selection and training and capacity interview process.

Develop and manage systems for documenting grant progress and oversight.

Design and communicate annual monitoring calendars to subgrantees.

Hold monitoring meetings with subgrantees and develop appropriate corrective action as appropriate.

Conduct site visits and interim desk reviews.

Respond or draft reports in response to all Federal requirements.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Ideal candidates will possess the following characteristics:

Bachelors degree in public or business administration education or related field of study

Knowledge of principles practices and techniques of federal grants.

Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to think and work independently as well as collaboratively.

Demonstrate effective listening oral and written communication skills.

Ability to read and proof documents for accuracy.

Experience in project management and fiscal policies and procedures.

Knowledge of federal guidelines for grant proposal submissions.

Excellent organizational skills
