The Supervisor of the Application Care Team leads a team of Specialists. The Specialists review new pending merchant accounts and follow up with internal and external partners to obtain information to bring the account to resolution. The Merchant Services industry is continually changing and is a constant opportunity to learn.
Manage the flow of pending new merchant accounts
Communicate with external and internal departments
Find creative and reliable methods to resolve pending accounts (often without assistance from merchant or sales rep/office)
Train Application Specialists regarding credit underwriting guidelines and NAP compliance guidelines
Perform monthly portfolio reviews report the scores and findings to the Senior Manager
Work with Sales Partners to understand pending reasons and ways to avoid them
Collaborate with Senior Manager to identify training opportunities process improvements and policy changes that need to be disseminated to the group
Track pending accounts daily and monitor approval and pending percentages
Bachelors Degree in a Businessrelated field; OR HS Diploma/GED AND 4 years of experience in a related field
2 years of credit/risk experience; OR 2 years of experience in people management
Must be 18 years of age or older
4 years of merchant acquirer experience
Exceptional communication skills
Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
Ability to interpret and analyze business periodicals professional journals technical procedures and governmental regulations
