This position if for 400 hours over 10 week.
Qualifications for Position:
- Majoring in Community Development
- Training in crosscultural social science research methods
- Demonstrated ability to pay high attention to detail
- Excellent crosscultural interpersonal skills
- Willing to serve in a wide variety of tasks
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting background research on best practices in ministering to New Americans
- Interviewing New Americans in Chattanooga with respect to their assets challenges and need
- Identifying gaps in Chattanoogas services for New Americans
- Interviewing Community Development Majors to identify potential bottlenecks
- Developing program recommendations
- Helping with logistics and implementation of the project this summer.
