Job Title: Elementary K2 Inclusion Teacher
Reports To: Building Principal
Job Summary:
The Elementary K2 Inclusion Teacher supports students in achieving their full intellectual emotional and psychological potential by delivering highquality instruction aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). This position promotes an inclusive learning environment and evaluates student progress through dynamic engaging teaching practices while fostering strong relationships with students families and staff.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging standardsaligned instruction that meets the diverse needs of all learners.
Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of subject matter and maintain high expectations for all students.
Administer classroom organization and management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
Monitor and support student behavior and activities maintaining discipline with professionalism and consistency.
Maintain accurate records including attendance grades and instructional materials.
Write and implement effective IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are applied.
Schedule coordinate and lead IEP meetings as required (at minimum annually).
Provide IEP documentation and ataglance summaries to all relevant staff.
Refer students to appropriate school support personnel when necessary (e.g. counselor SEC Advisor).
Maintain professional ethics and confidentiality at all times.
Establish and maintain cooperative respectful relationships with colleagues students and families.
Attend required staff meetings professional development workshops and corporation events.
Accept shared responsibility for RtI implementation school committees and cocurricular activities.
Serve as a positive role model demonstrating ethical principles and responsible citizenship.
Develop clear timely lesson plans aligned with state standards and IEP goals.
Start and end lessons punctually ensuring students remain engaged throughout.
Use instructional best practices and evidencebased strategies to enhance learning.
Assist in selecting textbooks instructional tools and learning materials.
Assess student progress regularly and provide timely constructive feedback.
Communicate proactively and professionally with parents and guardians through conferences phone calls and written updates.
Foster positive schoolcommunity relationships.
Encourage family participation and collaboration in supporting student growth.
Qualifications:
Valid Indiana State Teaching License with appropriate certification in Special Education.
Demonstrated experience in teacher leadership inclusion support and IEP development.
Proven ability to set priorities achieve goals and collaborate within a resultsdriven team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Deep understanding of instructional design and differentiated teaching methods.
Knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards and Special Education guidelines including the IIEP system.
