POSITION SUMMARY:
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Continuously maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the local commercial real estate market.
Serve as a market expert with the ability to communicate this expertise through both presentation and writing.
Track analyze economic demographic and commercial real estate data to identify unique insights on market activity conditions and trends to maintain competitive advantage.
Manage and maintain accuracy on internal commercial real estate metrics through Curve Analytics Transwesterns proprietary data platform.
Utilize Curve Analytics to run and report quarterly market statistics.
Build relationships with the local markets brokerage teams to best understand their research needs and how best to respond with deliverables.
Collaborate with the local marketing and graphic design teams to provide research insights that support business development for our clients.
Provide stateofthemarket presentations to clients as needed.
Develop and leverage relationships with research peers and experts externally in the local real estate community to exchange information and learn about industry trends.
Perform or assume additional department duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in real estate Business Urban Planning Economics or related field.
Professional designations preferred.
4 to 5 years minimum experience in commercial real estate research and/or analytics.
Proven understanding of commercial real estate and/or capital markets metrics.
Expert in Microsoft Outlook Excel PowerPoint and Word.
Deep understanding of economics demographic and related platforms such as Moodys Lightcast Oxford Economics Bureau of Labor Statistics Bureau of Economic Analysis and the U.S. Census Bureau. Additional data sources include common vendors such as Real Capital Analytics ZoomInfo Revista and CoStar.
Proficiency in ESRI Suite ArcGIS PowerBI and Adobe Creative Cloud helpful but not required.
Strong analytical and writing capabilities with a high attention to detail.
Solid organizational project management and multitasking skills. Able to prioritize workload manage projects and communicate with research team members as well as internal and external clients.
Ability to work independently and proactively as well as in a team setting.
Provide a highlevel of customer service with a desire to help internal and external clients succeed.
Ability to resolve complex situations or problems by defining a strategy often involving cross functional teams and leading a collaboration effort through resolution.
Able to serve several audiences while remaining committed to generating the bestinclass research product.
Must be flexible highly creative work well under pressure and within tight schedules and be enthusiastic about conveying the companys vision and differentiators.
Superb interpersonal collaboration and consensusbuilding skills.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 or more of the time/constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (ex. a calculator copy machine computer printer) or by request be provided with reasonable accommodation to perform the essential functions of the position.
