Internal Audit Senior Manager - Investments Lifecycle

Vanguards Internal Audit & SOX department is hiring a Senior Manager for the Global Investment and Financial Audit Services (GIFAS) team! This role involves managing a team of auditors to conduct riskbased audits and consulting across portfolio management trading and risk management functions. The Senior Manager will oversee internal control evaluations and influence senior leadership to improve the control environment.

Responsibilities:

• Hire evaluate and supervise crew providing mentorship and training. Set performance standards review performance and make compensation decisions.

• Plan direct and supervise audit activities for the Investments division including risk assessments. Assist in settling audit and consulting plans.

• Lead audit and consulting engagements to ensure timely delivery of highquality work. Oversee multiple teams providing industry expertise.

• Develop and communicate engagement objectives to audit teams and business clients. Define scope assess risks analyze data and evaluate controls.

• Establish and maintain relationships with management and risk partners.

• Communicate work status and results to management influencing them to act on recommendations.

• Set clear expectations for the team and provide feedback to develop team members. Leverage team skills for collaboration and timely completion of work.

• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in a businessrelated field or equivalent experience. Professional certification or advanced degree is a plus.

• Minimum of five years of related work experience.

• Significant management experience in audit risk or controls with expertise in risk management financial services and corporate finance.

• Proven people leadership skills including hiring talent attraction coaching and performance development.

• Ability to work in a complex dynamic and fastpaced environment with strong project skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills effective communication willingness to assist outside direct assignments and commitment to selfimprovement and team objectives.

• Excellent relationship skills and clientfocused mindset with experience presenting findings to senior leaders.

• Strong conceptual thinking and ability to persuade and influence others.
