Beer Capitol Distributing LLC Wisconsins largest beer distributor serving Waukesha Ozaukee Washington and Milwaukee counties. Beer Capitol is now hiring for 1st Shift Warehouse Associate. The 1st Shift Warehouse Associate is responsible for the receiving and unloading of trucks the organization and replenishment of back stock products in the warehouse and the replenishment of products from back stock locations to pick locations.
Compensation:
$20.50
Schedule:
Our 1st shift warehouse employees work 5 days a week Monday Friday and start at 9am until approximately 5pm.
Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of incoming shipments and products
- Assist the warehouse inventory crew with company product inventory counts
- Unload trucks and receive products into inventory
- Input received products into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Move products from receiving or storage areas to shipping back stock locations or to other designated staging areas
- Place products on racks and in rows according to predetermined sequences such as supplier size type or product code
- Replenish the pick row with products from the back stock warehouse.
- Stock and rotate product inventory in back stock locations in accordance with supplier and company quality and freshness standards
- Pick and build customer orders accurately
- Load outgoing delivery trucks accurately with staged products
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D. required
- Must obtain sufficient knowledge of company products to answer routine inquiries; Must obtain knowledge of supplier policies especially freshness standards and product markings
- Experience with forklifts is preferred; ability to obtain company forklift and equipment certifications is required
- Possess an analytical and mechanical aptitude
- Good decisionmaking and problemsolving skills
- Attention to detail
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift carry push and pull up to 45 pounds on a consistent basis and up to 175 pounds on an occasional basis
- Walk and stand for long periods of time; bending twisting squatting lifting
- Fine motor skills for precision
