The Cultivation Production planner is responsible for planning organizing and monitoring cultivation operations to ensure that plants are grown efficiently ontime and to standard to ensure timely delivery of quality product to internal customers. This role coordinates closely with cultivation postharvest drying sanitation quality assurance and supply planning to mitigate flower risk and minimize waste. The Cultivation Production Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of flower from propagation to drying in production and driving continuous improvement within the supply process.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivation Production Planning:

  • Lead the planning and scheduling process by preparing workload for selected Cultivation teams and support teams from cloning to drying.
  • Schedule daily weekly monthly and yearly requirements for the Cultivation team.
  • Direct the prioritization of tasks for each team within the Cultivation department.
  • Provide direction on scheduling staffing and material issues and quality remediation.
  • Understand and ensure data integrity in Organigram production systems for accurate reporting forecasting and analytics.
  • Create maintain and utilization multiple reports on KPIs data trends adhoc scenarios.
  • Work closely with team and lead meetings to ensure alignment and organization.
  • Provide frequent updates on production risks and opportunities to various stakeholders.
  • Model different scenarios to display area of opportunities between plan and scheduling.

Crossfunctional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Crossfunctional Leadership: Act as a key point of contact between various departments including Nursery Plant Care Watering Integrated Pest Management Plant Science Sanitation and Quality Assurance to execute on required grow plan.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Communicate with supply chain any delays opportunities quality concerns that change target RTP dates.
  • LacSuprieur (LS) Collaboration: Support LacSuprieur by scheduling the growing and transfer of flower between the Moncton and LS sites.

Technology Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Operational Metrics: Monitor report and analyze key metrics such as schedule adherence flower utilization garden and drying capacity utilization predicted yield and potency based on cultivar spread per month to inform changes to labour and strategy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose improvements to streamline production processes.
  • Technology Utilization: Use planning software and integrated systems to model scenarios to enhance planning accuracy decisionmaking and crossfunctional collaboration.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Resource Optimization: Continuously analyze key data to drive efficiencies and supply chain processes improvements including cultivar selection scheduling and material utilization.
  • Process Standardization: Lead and support initiatives for standardizing planning processes and improving responsiveness to market/demand changes.

Strategic Contribution:

  • Alignment with Business Goals: Ensure production plans support the overall strategic objectives of the organization including cost reduction service level improvement and revenue growth.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration supply chain management operations management industrial engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in supply planning supply chain or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of capacity planning and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and planning software (e.g. Ample D365.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret a wide range of data to drive decision making.
  • Strong communication presentation and collaboration skills with experience working across multiple departments.
  • Problemsolving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the Cannabis industry preferred but not required.
