The position can be filled in full or part time.

Summary

We are looking for an Algorithm Engineer (f/m/d) for the Laser Warning Engineering department at the Taufkirchen site as soon as possible.

The Laser Warning Engineering department deals with the system design and development of optical and acoustic sensors for the selfprotection of military platforms with a focus on the detection of lasers and acoustic signals such as gunshots. These sensors are used in the field of air and land vehicles as well as ships.

Your Tasks

  • Analysis of technical requirements and development of implementation options

  • Development of complex and innovative sensors taking into account the latest technologies and standards.

  • Design of customfit algorithms taking into account the specified hardware

  • Highperformance implementation of the algorithms within FPGA and application software (in C/C)

  • Continuous testing and continuous integration of the algorithms

  • Documentation of the developed firmware algorithms and software

  • Optimization and further development of the software and algorithms

  • Assumption of responsibility for work packages in the assigned work environment with regard to quality costs deadlines and risk assessment

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in mathematics computer science physics or comparable

  • Extensive experience in algorithm development for complex systems

  • Several years of programming experience and experience in sensor electronics

  • Very good programming skills in C/C Matlab Simulink and Python

  • Good knowledge of firmware programming is advantageous as well as in the field of algorithmic firmware development for FPGAs

  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and a high degree of initiative and commitment

  • Independent goaloriented approach in a complex environment and a strong ability to work in a team

  • Very good skills of English and German
