Role Summary

The LeanAgile SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and mentor for the Agile Release Train (ART). The RTEs primary responsibilities are to plan and facilitate the ARTs events and processes through the preparation planning and learning cycles to help improve value delivery. You will work with ART business owners Product Managers System Architects and others to lead and optimize the flow of value the ART delivers. You will mentor coach and train as needed across all levels of the ART towards continuous improvement of performance.

This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City MO office.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision a Roadmap and Backlogs and through Pre and Post PI Planning events
  • Facilitate the PI planning event
  • Facilitate regular synchronization events (ART sync Leadership sync Scrum of Scrums)
  • Coach and train leaders teams and Scrum Masters in LeanAgile practices
  • Help manage risks and dependencies track impediments
  • Provide input on resourcing to address bottlenecks
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
  • Ensure strategy and alignment with Product and Solution Management
  • Improve value flow through DevOps and Continuous Delivery Pipeline practices.
  • Facilitate feature estimation and the rollup to Epics
  • Regularly meet with ART business owners and other partners to think beyond daytoday activities to determine strategic direction and strategy
  • Help to drive the innovation cycle
  • Facilitate System Demos

What You Bring to The Team

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent or have related work experience
  • Certified in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) SPC or RTE
  • 710 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience working in the Financial Services industry
  • Prior experience working in a role responsible for broad multifunctional alignment and in an Agile environment with demonstrated ability to communicate and influence across business and technical domains and across all levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated with superb communication leadership and motivational skills
  • Adept at presenting to large groups and able to hold the audiences attention
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies to work effectively in a rapid growth environment
