Job Description

Responsibilities

Noblis Fleet Introduction Support Services provides PreCommissioning Support to ships Prospective Commanding Officers Executive Officers and Department Heads for administrative and technical services. Fleet Introduction work is performed in an integrated support team environment that includes government and Noblis teams that work closely with PEO SHIPS Supervisor of Shipbuilding and Repair Huntington Ingalls Industries BUPERS ISIC Regional Support Offices and the ships crew.

While there are a wide array of administrative and clerical tasks which fall under this position the focus is on the processing and initiating of security background investigations and tracking security clearances for the ships crews as they arrive for duty. The ideal candidate will provide Security/Administrative support as follows:

  • Assist command personnel in obtaining security badge for access to various facilities.
  • Process access request with builder for closed areas.
  • Initiate personnel security investigations and reinvestigations.
  • Maintain Security Management Office (SMO) in DISS as Account Manager.
  • Manage update status and reporting of all command clearances.
  • Resolve clearance/investigation issues with adjudication facility and NBIB/OPM.
  • Process visit requests.
  • Maintain correspondence and serial logs.
  • Track the progress of the POA&M for Commanding Officer and Executive Officer and assist with resolution for delinquent requirements.
  • Handle details privately that are FOUO in nature.
  • Draft and compose emails professionally
  • Assist in other administrative areas within our group of Admin Personnel Travel and Security and other duties when required.

Required Qualifications

High School and 4 years of experience OR an Associates Degree with 2 years of experience OR a Bachelors and zero years of experience.

  • Candidate will need to organize tasks and services and be able to work with competing priorities.
  • Will need strong computer skills in the MS Office suite of software including Outlook Word and Sharepoint.
  • Candidate will provide the ships with programs documentation and deliverables electronically during crew development through moveaboard.
  • Database management is required to operate and update the Fleet Introduction Plan of Action and Milestone Program Lessons Learned Security and Administrative databases.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential in this team orientatedcustomer service position.
  • US Citizenship and SECRET clearance required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with eApp (formerly known as eQIP) SWFT NBIS DISS and other security applications
  • Understanding of military terms and practices is beneficial

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contractspecific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or oncall staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
