Head of AI

Atomicworkis on a mission to transform the digital workplace experience by uniting people processes and platforms through AI automation. Our team is building a modern service management platform that enables growing businesses to reduce operational complexity and drive business success.

Responsibilities

• AI Strategy & Roadmap: Set the AI strategy and roadmap for Atomicworks AI platform and experimental projects. Ensure that AI initiatives support the companys business objectives and longterm vision.

• AI Agent Development: Lead the development and deployment of AI agents that automate IT support tasks. Oversee endtoend implementation fromresearch prototypes to productionready systems.

• Leadership & Team Management: Provide handson technical leadership and mentor team members. Manage a small AI/ML team 34 people) fostering growth and ensuring effective collaboration (including with our Indiabased engineers).

• CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO (based in the US) and CTO to integrate AI solutions with product development. Collaborate with other departments (Product Engineering Support) to align AI projects with customer needs.

• Customer Interaction: Interface with customers to understand their AI needs and pain points. Lead discussions on AIdriven solutions and gather feedback to inform the product roadmap.

• External Representation: Represent Atomicwork at conferences industry events and investor meetings. Clearly communicate our AI vision capabilities and successes to external stakeholders.

• Research & Innovation: Oversee AI research and development efforts staying uptodate with the latest advancements in AI (LLMs reinforcement learning multimodal models etc.. Drive innovation through experiments and pilot projects on our platform.

• Scalable Deployment: Ensure scalable and efficient deployment of AI agents in production environments. Establish best practices for model trainingoptimization monitoring and continuous improvement in a cloud environment.

Requirements

• Experience: 8 years of experience in AI applied machine learning or related fields with at least 3 years focused on AIdriven automation. A proven track record of building and deploying AI solutions in production.

• LLM & Agent Expertise: Demonstrated experience finetuning large language models (LLMs) and building intelligent agents. Familiarity with prompt engineering model optimization and using AI agents for task automation.

• Technical Skills: Handson experience with reinforcement learning multimodal AI and distributed AI systems. Strong programming skills in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch TensorFlow). Experience working with big data pipelines realtime streaming data and cloud infrastructure(AWS or similar).

• Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in automation enterprise software or AI platforms is highly desirable. Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) processes and tools is a plus.

• Leadership: Ability to function as a strong individual contributor and as a team leader. Proven leadership capabilities to mentor engineers and manage a small team driving projects from concept to completion.

• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation engaging with customers to discuss technical solutionsinteracting with investors and speaking at industry events or conferences.
  
  
• Collaboration: A team player who can work effectively across time zones and cultures. Willingness to collaborate closely with an engineering team based in India.
  
  
• Location & Travel: Willingness to work from our Bayarea office. Ability to travel occasionally to the US East Coast and to India (approximately once per year) for team meetups customer visits or events.
