We are hiring! The Enterprise Services Business Risk Office provides risk management support to several lines of business including: Brand Enterprise Supplier Management Enterprise Products & Experience (EPX) Software External Affairs eData Global Workplace Solutions Emerging Payments Ventures and Tech. As the risk team for Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering we are on the cutting edge of risk management and provide support for new and emerging technologies as well as critical business strategies. You will lead a team of technical risk associates who work directly with our technology function accountable for IT asset management resiliency engineering and observability. This team is accountable for assisting these functions with risk and control self assessments process level assessments risk identification control design and remediation issue management and resolution and other risk activities. This leader will have a strong technical background. You will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with senior Technology Cloud and Cyber Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. The successful candidate will be an experienced risk management professional who understands risk in a cloud first organization with strong analytical planning strategic thinking organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage the organization of technology and product risk guides through the implementation of a comprehensive technology risk delivery model
Consult strategically with Accountable Executives across Technology
Serve as interdepartmental advisor interfacing with enterprise technology and other lines of business and other areas such as other Cloud functions and Cyber
Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations to achieve objectives
Deliver appropriate succinct and organized information tailoring communication style to audience. Communicate complex issues and implications incorporating different perspectives and solutions into deliverables.
Escalate key risks and issues and problemsolve with crossfunctional teams
Facilitate and ensure compliance with policies through risk assessments and enterprise risk management programs
Identify opportunities for continued improvement in the business
Identify document and track resolution of risk events / issues impacting customers stemming from process breakdowns or other problems and help develop permanent corrective actions
Assist in the development implementation and of risk management controls
Assist in management of audits and regulatory exams
Manage special projects
This role involves up to 20 travel as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or military experience
At least 10 years of experience in Risk Management
At least 10 years of People Management experience
At least 10 years of experience in project risk program Cloud risk management or process management
At least 10 years of experience supporting partnering and interacting with internal and external business clients
At least 10 years of experience consulting with senior executives or strategy building
At least 5 years of experience working in cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree
Risk management certification Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified Risk & Information Systems Control (CRISC) Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Open FAIR Certified
At least 13 years of experience in project or process management or agile delivery
At least 12 years of experience managing senior stakeholders across different business functions
At least 12 years of experience writing communications and presentations for leadership audience
At least 12 years of experience in strategy development within financial services or technology industries
Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills to confidently interact at all levels of the organization (e.g. technology/cyber organizations enterprise business stakeholders and executive leadership)
Excellent problemsolving analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities demands and timelines
Ability to set direction manage expectations and lead crossfunctional teams
Consulting experience with a Big 4 firm
Strong communication and relationship building skills customer focus and ability to collaborate and influence across teams to deliver
Ability to set direction delegate tasks manage multiple stakeholder expectations and coordinate a crossfunctional team

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago IL: $240300 $274300 for Sr. Dir Cyber Risk & AnalysisCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
