ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES
Are you passionate about supporting students mental health and success in school RACS is currently seeking a motivated qualified individual to work in Rockbridge County schools. RACS will provide training supervision and education opportunities specific to the position.

Rockbridge Area Community Services strives to impact our local community through innovative behavioral health substance use and developmental services. Utilizing exceptionally qualified staff from diverse backgrounds we strive to enhance lives and promote whole health wellness through a vast array of supportive services! We have been providing services throughout Rockbridge and Bath counties and the cities of Lexington and Buena Vista since 1982.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavioral interventions and therapeutic support to students
- Collaborate with teachers counselors and administrators to develop effective support strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency standards
- Advocate for students by connecting them to appropriate community resources
- Participate in team meetings training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in a human servicerelated field required; mental health or social work focus preferred.
- Experience: One to three years working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred.
- Certifications: QMHPC or QMHPTrainee status (or eligibility) with the Virginia Board of Health Professions is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication case management problemsolving and ability to work independently and within a team.
- Other Requirements: Valid Virginia drivers license and safe driving record per RACS policies.

Background Investigation Requirements:
All applicants must undergo a background investigation which may include fingerprint checks (State Police); local agency checks; employment verification; verification of education (relevant to employment) and other positionspecific screenings.
Probationary Period:
All persons that are newly hired rehired transferred promoted or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6month probationary period.
