Job Description

This role is for a dynamic and enthusiastic Account Manager to join the expanding Commercial team at Version 1. The Version 1 brand is increasingly recognised in Ireland UK and the US and we want someone with a strong entrepreneurial flair to join the team and grow and expand current business with existing customers. The role will suit an individual who has the drive to carve out their own niche whilst having the support of a successful sales and marketing team behind them. You will be an excellent communicator who knows how to deliver sales excellence. You will have a track record of selling businessled solutions and IT managed services into private sector and public sector customers. Youll naturally be a selfstarter with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimum direction.

Primary responsibility will be to drive new business sales through:

  • Identifying and targeting areas for growth.
  • Account Management and business development of some existing Version 1 customers.
  • Contract renewals expansions crossselling other Service Lines or new lines of business.
  • Working with our Marketing team to undertake targeted marketing campaigns events and direct calling initiatives.
  • Working with Version 1 partners technology and specialists for the benefit of the customer Version 1 and the partner.
  • Preparation and delivery of presentations proposals and the active management of the full sales cycle.
  • Contract negotiation covering consulting services fixed price development and managed services contracts.

Qualifications :

  • Demonstrable experience working in customerfacing roles ideally in a Sales/ Account Management/ Business Development role in the IT industry with exposure to managed services and/or consulting services.
  • Experience of successfully selling solutions (rather than products) at a senior level.
  • Knowledge of the industry sectors compliance requirements issues driving industry changes.
  • A clear and demonstrable understanding of the software development life cycle from envisioning to solution implementation to managed services.
  • Demonstrable experience in commercial discussions with customers and internal stakeholders. Comfortable in discussing pricing rates revenue margins contract values and commercial incentives.
  • A clear and demonstrable track record of results having achieved at least 3 out of the last 4 years exceeding targets.
  • IT consulting experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication with an agreeable phone manner.
  • Ambitious confident enthusiastic individual with a cando attitude.

Desired Qualifications

  • Sales & Account Management experience meeting clients and being part of verbal and written contract negotiations.
  • Working with Managed Service delivery teams in an Onshore/Offshore context
  • Experience in developing longterm business opportunities via proposals bids and tenders both with Fixed Price services and T&M projects.
