We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at a leading refinery in Ponca City Oklahoma. This is a fulltime contract position with duration of 1 year with possibility of extension.
Role Overview
- Provide project management expertise and serve as the single point of accountability for assigned projects.
- Manage project costs schedule resources technical competency environmental requirements and safety.
- Coordinate project activities with Process and Instrument/Electrical Engineers to ensure timely completion.
- Utilize FrontEnd Loading Detail Design and other best practices in project .
- Collaborate with customers to develop project charters secure funding engineer projects and support construction.
- Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations.
- Manage vendor scopes of work and package delivery through commissioning.
- Coordinate project status updates and technical design reviews with key stakeholders and internal engineering resources.
- Collaborate with peers and work groups across departments.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Valid drivers license is required.
- Experience with FrontEnd Loading (FEL 13 requirements.
- Knowledge of P&IDs equipment design HAZOP reviews electrical/instrument designs and engineering support for cost estimates and schedules.
- Strong scheduling and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Understanding of ASME API and ASTM codes and standards (ASME Section VIII ASME B31.3 ASME B16.5 API 510 API 579.
- Ability to perform and interpret pipe stress analysis and pressure vessel calculations.
- Familiarity with all Required Standards REPS and site clarifications.
- Basic understanding of refinery operations.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering field (Mechanical or Civil).
- 1 years of experience in the refining or petrochemical industry.
