1:1 PartTime Support Staff Needed Camillus. NY (TW TK)
A 45yearold female in the Camillus area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with money management being active in her community and help her engage in preferred activities. CallABus is used to transport both DSP and individual.
She spends most of her time at Destiny USA. Where she likes to shop meet with friends/family for lunch go to the movies go bowling and Dave & Busters. She also enjoys going to the zoo if the weather permits.
The ideal candidate is patient and sociable. The ideal candidate must also be willing to provide personal care when needed and able to assist with transferring from wheelchair during toileting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with spending service hours in one location due to limited transportation.
This is a parttime position but additional hours are available with other people receiving services
at the agency.
Hours and days of work: Tuesdays 930am330pm/Thursdays 930am130pm
Starting pay: Starting pay is $18.00 an hour and increases with years of relevant experience.
Location: Camillus NY
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently in the persons home and/or community.
- Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
- No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- New York State Drivers license reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
