Job Description

Direct Hire

The Jr. Project Manager will oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees supervisors foreman and crews to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegates work and assignments to foreman and crews based on expertise work experience and time constraints.
  • Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients engineers or other involved parties
  • Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Addresses questions concerns and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Plans coordinates organizes oversees and directs activities regarding the project.
  • Ensures compliance with federal state local industry contractual and company regulations standards specifications and best practices.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people including owners managers supervisors Clients and TXDOT.


Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelors degree in related field which may include Computer Science Business or Engineering preferred.
  • At least 3 years of related experience required.
  • PMP CAPM and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of contracts plans specifications and regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering architectural and other construction drawings.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
