About the role
Sydney Water is the main provider of water wastewater recycled water and stormwater services in Greater Sydney. Our employees are dedicated to our customers ensuring services are reliable and affordable we are proactive and easy to engage with forwardthinking and environmentally focused.
The role is responsible for establishing policy and processes for Sydney Water to be successful as the Regional Stormwater Authority for the Aerotropolis initial precincts. This role is focussed on the successful deployment of Stormwater Schemes in the Aerotropolis precincts by working directly with the initial development proponents as they design and construct Sydney Water stormwater assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the initial deployment of the Stormwater Works Delivery Policy for the initial development proponents in the Mamre Road Precinct
- Oversee the development of a flexible planning agreement process to allow cost recoverybased assessment process.
- Lead in situations by providing frank and fearless technical advice and solutions that balance innovation risks and exposure when achieving multiple values within a sustainable water servicing solution.
- Assist with technical and planning advice to Council and DPHI regarding the drafting of the updated Development Control Plan
- Provide technical expert advice to Integrated Water Cycle Manager
About you
- Ability to provide intelligent and innovative guidance regarding the current policy regulation and standards for urban stormwater.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of strategies plans submissions and reports relevant to waterways management.
- Recognised leader in Policy Development Urban Planning Urban Sustainability or Government administration with relevant research and best practice experience.
- Experience with greenfield development industry and processes.
