Title: Manufacturing Supervisor The manufacturing supervisor will supervise direct labor production with the intent of achieving defined goals such as daily and monthly output schedules quality levels while monitoring safety productivity and efficiency. Ensure workforce is properly trained. Write annual performance reviews coach associates on production processes and monitor performance objectives including managing associates through the disciplinary process as necessary. Perform quality and lean audits. Recommend corrective actions and track the outcome of corrective actions. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Works with Scheduling to establish shift and personnel assignments while ensuring all necessary procedures instructions and equipment are available and followed.
- Reviews and analyzes production quality control maintenance and operational systems and reports to assure that production and quality guidelines are met.
- Investigates and resolves issues related to quality and efficiency.
- Monitors production equipment and reports failures to maintenance personnel.
- Works with other departments to establish production standards for new products.
- Insures that all shift personnel comply with company policies and safety procedures and usage of required safety equipment.
- Provides verification of daily production and attendance records through daily production/attendance reports.
- Conducts production and safety meetings and provides training guidance and leadership as needed.
- Lead and participate in meetings with crossfunctional team members for company objectives for all shift personnel.
- Must be able to lead 5S safety and housekeeping initiatives.
- Maintains ISO compliance and recommends and implements related improvement.
- Perform rootcause analysis and corrective actions as required for quality control issues.
- Responsible for supporting activities in the area of cost containment efficiency productivity waste minimization and inventory control.
- Support initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Provide effective coaching to associates to improve performance.
- Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Seek to understand challenges and opportunities in manufacturing operations.
QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years of related supervisory experience in high/low volume assembly finishing machining or similar production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Understanding of inventory control practices
- Knowledge of ISO and TS standards and systems
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to define problems collects data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to coach and counsel employees
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Continuous Improvement mentality
- Must be available for any shift
- A two year college degree in engineering or other technical field a plus
- Lean Manufacturing understanding a plus
