Salary: 13.39 14.90 per hour / depending on experience
Perm contract
Shifts 07.00 17.30 30 hours days
Working as 2nd chef so will be working with 2 Kitchen Assistants only.

St Marks rated outstanding in March 2019 is a purposebuilt home welcoming adults in need of nursing residential dementia or palliative care. The home also offers short stays for those who are looking for a little respite or convalescence care.
The home is split into four areas made up of three nursing floors and a dedicated dementia area which is pleasant and modern each with dining rooms and lounges.
A secure gardenensures that residents can make the most of good weather too.
Residents are welcome to relax in any part of the home and can enjoy a little pampering in the hair salon catch up with family over a drink in the bar or read a book in one of the quiet lounges.
The activity rooms are where residents can get creative and there is a reminiscence room for rediscovering memories. There is a goodsized garden for anyone who wants to take a stroll and an enclosed sensory garden which is great for residents living with dementia.
Meals are made using fresh ingredients and residents can choose to eat in privacy or in dining rooms that overlook the gardens. Midmorning hot drinks and homemade cake is also available.
Residents voices are woven into everything the home does thanks to the resident and relative committee.
Residents can still do existing hobbies here and are welcome to suggest something different to try as a group or on their own. Many activities are organised for mental and physical stimulation including musical afternoons arts and crafts and bingo. Movie afternoons are popular and there is a mobile library.

We are looking for an equally passionate Assistant Chef to join the team and help create and deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents.
Youll help us make health happen by:
- Using your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus in line with dietary needs and preferences of our residents
- Putting forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience helping our residents to feel at home
- Training and managing the kitchen team in prepping cooking and serving of food
- Adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines company policies and procedures budgets managing orders and deliveries
- Catering for special events or seasonal activities such as summer fetes Christmas parties and birthdays (as required)
