Job Description

As a Junior Legal Counsel you will provide essential legal support to the organization ensuring compliance across a variety of jurisdictions while protecting the companys intellectual property. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a dynamic legal team and be involved in the companys global expansion and innovative strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts including licensing agreements partnerships and supplier agreements.
  • Provide legal guidance on intellectual property matters including trademarks copyrights and patents ensuring the protection and enforcement of IP assets.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes within the iGaming sector and advise on compliance across various jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Product Development and Marketing to offer legal advice on new product launches and promotional activities.
  • Support senior legal counsel in managing relationships with external legal providers and overseeing legal matters across various company offices.
    Help develop and implement internal policies and procedures to minimize legal risks

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in Law with a preference for candidates admitted to practice in Malta or another EU jurisdiction.
  • 13 years of postqualification experience preferably within the iGaming tech or entertainment industries.
  • Proven knowledge of intellectual property law including management and enforcement of IP rights.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory frameworks governing the iGaming industry especially in EU and MGA jurisdictions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
