Meet the Personal Injury team

Personal Injury Law is a division of LEAP Legal Software which specialises in software solutions for our Personal Injury Law vertical. This is a one-of-a-kind team paving the way for a new structure in LEAP which focuses on tailored products for specific areas of law. This team includes experienced legal professionals developers designers and client-focused operational experts. We have in-house Australian Personal Injury Lawyers who are the experts in guiding the direction that our products take along with a mature client feedback function.

What youll do

To build the most exceptional and tailored experience for Personal Injury Lawyers this team need to know every aspect of this area of law in every state. This is where you come in..... Youll bring your legal experience including your passion for research and the theoretical side of law to help change the way Personal Injury lawyers practice. Youll consult with our legal experts to help make decisions that contribute to our product roadmap content plan and database design.

To make this happen you will

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research into legislation case law and procedural rules relevant to personal injury claims including motor vehicle accidents public liability and workers compensation.
  • Prepare detailed research memoranda case summaries and mock quantum assessments to inform how liability and quantum are assessed in different jurisdictions.
  • Analyse complex medical records expert reports and financial documents to provide an accurate understanding of how liability and quantum are assessed in different states and territories
  • Monitor interpret and report on legislative changes and judicial trends impacting personal injury law in Australia.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining our internal knowledge base precedents and research resources to enhance efficiency and expertise of the entire practice group

What youll bring

Youll have a strong foundation in legal research methodologies and a keen analytical mind capable of transforming complex information into actionable legal intelligence. Your technical skillset will include:

  • A degree in Law Paralegal Studies or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a legal research capacity ideally within a personal injury insurance or litigation practice area.
  • High proficiency in using legal research databases such as LexisNexis Westlaw and AustLII.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesise intricate legal and medical information into clear concise and persuasive written advice.
  • A strong understanding of the legal principles and legislative frameworks governing personal injury claims in Australia.

  • Is meticulously detail-oriented understanding that accuracy is paramount in legal analysis.
