Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures make observations interpret
findings.
Organize and store all chemical substances fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
Tracks and reports all materials used.
Maintains a clean work space by properly disposing of trash/waste.
Communicates and enforces laboratory safety rules to internal and external researchers working in the lab.
Ensures all users of the lab are wearing the appropriate PPE.
Completes all safety and equipment related trainings required on a monthly basis.
Responsible for answering company issued cell phone during on call hours in accordance with company
and safety policies.
Any other duty responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
B.S. in a chemistry or science related field desired.
Proven experience as a Lab Technician or relevant position.
Experience in operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment and potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids biohazards etc..
In depth knowledge of QHSE Systems preventative measures and laboratory best practices.
Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems.
Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers customers clients and management.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to use advanced mathematical calculation for job related tasks.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situation.
